FAQ

Where are you located? We have 2 stores – our full retail shop is located at 10557 Bishopville Road in, you guessed it, Bishopville MD. When you visit you will find a wide array of gift items, clothing, jewelry, baby gifts, wedding gifts, furniture and more! We feature Inis colognes from Ireland, Liz Lind Designs, and items from over 50 vendors and local artisans – sprinkled with vintage items we pick up on our shopping sprees.

Our second and original store location is in Jessup MD – 10750 Guilford Road, to be exact. This is our warehouse store where we offer a HUGE (and I mean HUGE) variety of items – a lot of cool furniture (too big to bring to Bishopville) from Estate Sales and our travels along with home décor, clothing, jewelry and more – most items at our warehouse location are 50% off – All the time!

When are you OPEN? Well, it depends – Bishopville is OPEN Wednesdays through Saturdays 11am-4pm but always check our Facebook page or our website to make sure that we didn’t have to close for an emergency or an early Happy Hour.

Our Jessup store is only open on select weekends which are – the second Saturday/Sunday of February, April, June, August, October and December. We are open those days from 10-3.

Do you offer on-line shopping? Well yes & no – how’s that for an answer. We have a separate online store for your at-home, shopping ease that features clothing, jewelry, gifts, scarves, gloves and a lot more. Items change weekly and many sell out fast. At the moment we are trying to figure the best way to put some of our vintage/unique items on our website so that you can securely shop from here as well. Let’s say for a couple of old broads – it’s taking us a little more time than a 10 year old! SO, until we figure it out (or hire a 10 year old) you can click on link right below this paragraph and shop to you drop in your pajamas!

Do you offer gift certificates? Why yes we do! When you can’t decide what the most perfect gift would be, we are happy to create a Gift Certificate in any amount you would like!

Where do you find the things in your store to sell? Well from a variety of places. We find many of our vintage items through Estate Sales (which we also do on the side if you know anyone who needs our services….) along with many great vendors.  We also have added items from several local artisans that you can’t find anywhere else – at least that’s what they told us!

Do you take consignments or are you a consignment shop? We are NOT a consignment shop, unfortunately for those people who are looking to down-size and move things out of their homes.  This doesn’t include the local artisans we feature in our stores, however.  We are always looking for new vendors and artists who fit in with our Something Old & Something New theme.

Do you buy furniture and other things?  Well, officially NO but having said that – it depends. If the piece is unusual and priced right – meaning low enough that we can do our usual mark-up – then yes. Special arrangements must be made and we have to see the items first. So, don’t pile everything in your truck and head over unless you make arrangements with us before. And if you are expecting to retire on what you might think your item is worth then we are not your answer – suggestions are to list on the local marketplaces such as Facebook, classified ads and, last but not least, E-bay. Keep in mind that it’s a gamble all away around on whether or not you will get the price you think it’s worth.

Do you ever have DIY classes? Yes we do! Most of our classes are now held at our Bishopville location but occasionally we will have one in Jessup. Always check our website or Facebook page for special DIY events. BUT, even if we don’t have a class or you can’t make one of our classes – we are working on adding short, easy DIY videos.  Our problem right now is that we can’t stop laughing to get a full video completed!  We’re working on getting serious – seriously!

Have an idea for a class or have a group of peeps who want something different to do? Get in touch with us and we will see what we can do about putting something fun together for you and your group.

The class fee, which must be paid before the day of the class (that’s so we can buy all the supplies, food and wine you’ll need!) includes light refreshments, wine, fun, laughs AND you get to bring home something you made yourself to show off to your family and friends!!
