Chars Idea/Recipe

Stonewall Kitchen Cranberry Horseradish sauce. This is delicious on turkey, chicken, or beef. I was serving a prime rib. I usually serve it will a horseradish/mayo sauce I mix. I was out of horseradish. I used the cranberry horseradish sauce with some mayo. Wisk it, it turns into a pretty pink sauce. Delish!

What will be in store for all us in 2016? Can’t wait! Dee and I will do our very best to provide lots of great treasures for your picking! We hope along with  great shopping experiences, all of us will enjoy laughter and fun while doing it.

The outfit is featured in a store in Ocean View, DE, Interiors by Kim:Kim’s Korner. Stop by lots of accessories, collectables, and furnishings for all homes. Turnkey decorating is available.

The other photo shows Black Crow Candles. Super smelling and long burning candles. Stay tune for a very special addition to this line of candles.

Our last photo is my weathered pumpkin. Quick and easy DIY.

Take a plastic pumpkin, paint it whatever color you desire.

Let it dry, then take a light sandpaper and weather your pumpkin.

I liked sanding around the face and grooves of the pumpkin. Final step, antique it with a stain or diluted brown paint. Wipe off the access. Let it dry. This is a cute and easy project. Send pictures. So we can post.

Come in and check out the arrival of new pumpkin items from Stonewall Kitchen.

Jump Start!

Suns Shining! Let’s get a Jump Start on getting Ready for Spring.

Yesterday went to Home Depot to purchase a few odds and ends.image image image

I couldn’t resist to buy a color combo of pansies. One of my favorite early Spring flower. Don’t you love their little adorable faces? As a little girl I thought each one of the flowers were a little face.

I also bought some bulbs that I will force. A video will be posted on that subject very soon. Come  back. There will be another DIY posted on an Easter project you could do right now with your family.

Pack Up Your Troubles!

Decorate with vintage luggage.

Painting the suitcases are very easy. This is a great tip if you want to make your suitcases a cottage style with softer colors.

Suitcases are great storage containers too.

We love using them in our displays.

Stop by the shop we have nice ones for sale.

Creativity Challenge

image image image image image imageStart challenge yourself each week to try being creative. This week we have a heart full of buttons. Easy!

First, you need to gather up your buttons or broken pieces of jewelry. Go to thrift or antique shops.they are very good places to find these items, if you do not have a tin full in your home.

Next, I would like you to use either a thick piece of cardboard or a wooden heart shaped cut-out. (Craft store sells them)

In using the cardboard , you need to trace or draw your heart. Then cut it out.

I prefer the wooden heart, it’s sturdy. Buy a small bottle of craft paint to paint your heart on both sides. In selecting your color of paint, use your main color theme of your buttons that you have chosen.

Paint one side of heart, let it dry, repeat for other side.

Cover your heart with bonding glue that dries clear.Craft stores carries

it. I like Wellabond. Arrange your buttons/jewelry onto your base. Cover and overlap. You will need to add more glue in doing this process.

Let this sit for a couple of days to make sure it has bonded.

You may add a ribbon to the back of heart, fasten with your glue.

A single heart of buttons shown, is created by purchasing flexible thin wire at your craft store.(in jewelry making section)

Make sure the wire will thread through your button holes.

Wire should be light color and very thin. Thread the wire through each button. Shape your buttons in a heart shape.

Loop a pretty ribbon around your heart.

Please send us your photos!

Feeling a little Crafty???

Today I’m posting another Christmas Craft. Don’t be shy, share a craft with us. We would love to post it. Thanks.

Sparkling Ornaments

We turned old night-light bulbs into festive ornaments, but any size will do. Just brush on glittering glue, roll the bulb in glitter, and let dry for 15 minutes. Then hot-glue a loop of metallic embroidery floss to the bulb’s base. (Glittering glue with brush, $3.65 for 4 oz.; dickblick.com)

found this craft in Country Living online.
